Increasing Your Home's Curb Appeal - Delaware Valley

Increasing Your Home's Curb Appeal

12 Tips to Enhance Curb Appeal

It is important for a property to make the best possible impression on prospective buyers. Curb appeal is your property's first opportunity to catch the buyer’s eye when driving (or walking) by or arriving for a showing. Boost your property’s curb appeal to entice potential buyers to want to take a look at what’s inside.

Here are 12 tips to enhance your home’s curb appeal:

01 | Clear the clutter and clean up

02 | Landscape for curb appeal

03 | Install/update outdoor lighting

04 | Paint or upgrade your mailbox

05 | Paint or wash the house exterior

06 | Replace dingy or out-of-date hardware

07 | Clean entryway, driveway and sidewalks

08 | Replace old siding, gutters and downspouts

09 | Make sure gutters, roof and chimney are in good shape

10 | Wash windows and repair damaged screens and windows

11 | Keep driveway clear. Park vehicles in the garage or on the street

12 | Dress up the front door with color, a new door handle, a custom door or some swag

No matter how great your home looks on the inside, it’s the outside that potential buyers see first when they come to your home. Increasing your home’s curb appeal not only makes it inviting and easier to sell, but also gives it that finished look in which you can take pride in.
