Facebook to Eliminate Regional Networks

Facebook to Eliminate Regional Networks and Make Privacy Changes...

According to founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg's open letter, Facebook is eliminating regional networks and simplifying privacy controls after recently passing the 350 million user mark worldwide. Some networks have gotten so huge that they have essentially become impractical from a privacy standpoint.

In the next few weeks, you will be able to selectively choose who can see your posts.  As new privacy settings are rolled out, Facebook will explain the new options and make recommendations based on your current privacy levels.

Here is an excerpt from the Open Letter by Mark Zuckerberg:

"The plan we've come up with is to remove regional networks completely and create a simpler model for privacy control where you can set content to be available to only your friends, friends of your friends, or everyone."
